Any school that would like to have the online facility should notify BTEB
together with the number of students and grades in time at least by the end of May.
Notes for online exam
1. Parents will be assigned with login details to log in to our Exam portal and they will
be able to download the question papers on the examination date.
2. The answer scripts should be scanned and uploaded upon completion of the
allocated time.
3. All uploads should be in PDF format and all the pages for one exam
should be uploaded as one file only. You could use an online utility to combine
separate scanned PDFs into one PDF for a single exam.
4. The system will not allow uploading files other than PDF format and only one file will be
allowed to upload for a single exam.
5. Only one login detail is required even if there is more than one child per household.
Notes to schools
1. Associated schools will be responsible to authorise the children
registered by the parent through the parents’ portal. Parents registering their
children should contact the school first to report any issues.
2. The fees will remain the same as per the previous year.
Nursery and Reception £3 per skill or for all 4 skills will be £10
For all other Grades, £5 per skill, or for all 4 skills will be £15
3. Schools should log in to the Exam portal and register their students for the exam
. When registering for the examination you should
select your own school as a center if your school has been approved to be a
center. If in doubt please contact the BTEB Admin
4. Schools that have not entered the exam entries in the portal should send us
the estimated student count for each grade by the end of April
5. Schools that registered and approved as centers will receive exam question
papers 2 days before the examinations
Note to students
1. Private candidates can also log in to the portal and register for the exam.
They should select the school named “Private” (School id 22) and select a
school closer to them as their examination center. If needed they can
download and fill out the form and send it to info@bteb.org.uk. Private applicants
after entering their children’s details should wait until they are approved by the
BTEB Admin before they can be registered for an exam.
2. Those who are overseas and who live far away from our Examination
Centers can take the exam online. When registering for the exam they should
select one of the following halls Online-Asia & Europe or Online-USA
according to the time zone they are in.
3. For speaking tests please use the booklets you used in
previous years. Even if you have used those booklets to practice that is fine
too. Please make sure a different teacher other than the class teacher
conducts the speaking test. The speaking marks sheet is attached.
4. The deadline for application for private candidates is 8th of May 2024 but
schools can request a few days' extension provided they have submitted the
student count for each grade.
